I once spent time in Rovaniemi, Finland which is north of the arctic circle. The town was laid out in the shape of reindeer horns and they train teenagers to be elves at schools there while reindeer roamed freely everywhere you walked and drove. They didn’t really mind people and you could almost pet the “wild” ones.
They rounded them all up at the end of the year and harvested some and tagged the new young ones for whatever family it belonged to and released them again. Reindeer on every menu like beef in America.
I tried to work with the local Santa clause but it was difficult because he only spoke in Finnish and refused to sign any legal documents in any other name than Saint Nick in Finnish and was willing to forgo his pay to not give up the kayfabe

I like cherry but it can be very strong tasting. But for the most part I could ID what wood that is used. But if you told me one is apple and one is cherry, I could tell you which one is which.
